The Church-Wellesley Village is dense, older, and mechanically eclectic. High-rise stock along Church, Jarvis, and Wellesley includes some of the oldest continuously-operating residential towers in the core, and a large portion of that stock cools with through-wall PTAC units rather than centrally supplied fan coils. On Alexander and Maitland the housing tips into Victorian and Edwardian conversions with hydronic radiators and window ACs.

PTAC replacement is a major line of work in this neighbourhood. The Amana and GE Zoneline units common in these buildings hit end of life around fifteen years, and replacements need to match the building's approved model list, sleeve dimensions, and electrical spec. We stock the common models and can quote against a building's approved list on request.

For the Victorian conversion stock the calls are different — boiler and rad repair, radiator bleed and balance, and mini-split installs where owners are done with window units. We work in enough of these houses to know which of the common century-home boiler models are worth keeping and which are past the point where repair makes sense.
